AISI 410 Stainless Roundbar

AISI 410 stainless steel is a martensitic stainless-steel grade which can be hardened after heat threatment. This grade is written as 1.4006 or X12Cr13 according to EN norm and it is written as UNS S41000 according to UNS norm. AISI 410 (UNS S41000) grade can be heat treatable. 1.4006 material is a magnetic grade, and this grade is usually produced as quenched and tempered (QT650). All 410 stainless material in Bir Celik warehouse are in QT650 heat treatment condition. 410 grade material has a good mechanical properties and medium corrosion resistance. AISI 410 stainless steel is really similar with 420 (1.4021) grade stainless steel and the main difference is the carbon content percentage. AISI 410 stainless steel mechanical properties and corrosion resistance will be enough for many applications. 410 (1.4006) usually used in turbine parts, petrochemical industries, valve parts, nuts and bolts.

AISI 410 stainless steels are general-purpose martensitic stainless steels containing 11.5% chromium, which provide good corrosion resistance properties. However, the corrosion resistance of grade 410 steels can be further enhanced by a series of processes such as hardening, tempering and polishing. Quenching and tempering can harden grade 410 steels. They are generally used for applications involving mild corrosion, heat resistance and high strength.

AISI 410 Martensitic stainless steels are fabricated using techniques that require final heat treatment. These grades are less resistant to corrosion when compared to that of austenitic grades. Their operating temperatures are often affected by their loss of strength at high temperatures, due to over-tempering and loss of ductility at sub-zero temperatures.
